The materials here and the trainings available online supplement the health plan's operations manuals to assist you in understanding and adhering to policies and procedures in accordance with your Provider Participation Agreement (PPA). In-person training is also available. Physicians and other providers who prefer in-person training may contact Provider Relations by email to request a training session.   Learn about the Plan's multifaceted Quality Management program, including access standards, quality measures and safety reporting, utilization management, wellness and chronic conditions, and more.
• Save Time Navigating the Provider Portal brochure (PDF)
  You can submit claims, verify member eligibility, request prior authorization, get reports, search the Provider Library and access resources in the provider portal. This brochure describes tools and provides instructions on how to register for and manage a website account.
• Medi-Cal Operations Guide (PDF)
  The guide is a summary of the Plan’s Medi-Cal provider operations manual and contains essential components of the Medi-Cal plan, including basic information about the public health programs available to Medi-Cal members. The guide supplements the comprehensive operational information in the complete manuals that are available in the Provider Library.
• No-Cost Interpreter Services flyer (PDF)
  This flyer provides quick-reference contact information for physicians and other providers to request no-cost telephone and onsite medical interpreter services through the Plan’s Language Support Line.
• Better Communication, Better Care: Provider Tools to Care for Diverse Populations toolkit (PDF)
  This toolkit is produced by the Industry Collaboration Effort (ICE). ICE is a multidisciplinary team of providers, health plans, associations, and accrediting bodies that work collaboratively to implement and improve regulatory compliance. The toolkit includes tools and resources to care for and interact with diverse populations.
• Member Rights and Responsibilities flyer (PDF)
  This flyer describes the member's relationships with the Plan, its physicians and other providers while providing care for these members.
• Certificate of New Provider Training form (PDF)
  Physicians and other providers must sign the form to attest that they have received the Plan's required Medi-Cal trainings.
• CHPIV New and Ongoing Provider Training Guide 2024 (PDF)
  The training deck is a high-level overview of the Plan’s policies, procedures, contacts and other important information. The deck helps physicians and other providers learn how to navigate the Plan resources and tools.
