See If You Qualify For Financial Help
The government gives financial help to people who qualify. The lower your income, the less you pay when you enroll through Covered California. There are two kinds of help:
- Premium assistance lowers the cost you pay every month for healthcare coverage.
- Cost-share reductions lower what you pay for services like doctor visits.
You can get premium assistance with any level of coverage if you qualify. Cost-sharing reductions only come with silver-level plans that are called Enhanced Silver.
Both kinds of help are based on your annual household income and family size. And both are available only when you buy health coverage through Covered California.
